Bringing Extensive Emergency Medicine Experience to Rural Communities

Mr. Holmgren is a certified Physician Assistant. He attended Red Rocks Community College in Denver, Colorado to complete his Physician Assistant training. He went on to complete his Master of Medical Science at St Francis University in Loretto, Ohio.

Prior to working in a rural setting he spent 8 years working in emergency departments in the Denver metro region, including a Level 1 Trauma Center. He was recently selected as the 2019 physician assistant of the year.

Prior to working as a Physician Assistant he attended Minnesota State University, Mankato, and graduated with a degree in Exercise Physiology and Chemistry. After graduation, he was accepted into an internship program at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, New York. Post internship, he decided to pursue his other passion for EMS and moved to Denver, Colorado to attend paramedic school at Denver Health Medical Center. As a paramedic, he worked in the 911 system for 6 years for two major Level 1 Trauma Centers in the country, including Denver Paramedics and Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
