Quality Improvement

We have a robust internal quality control program that utilizes an independent Board Certified Emergency Physician for chart and protocol review. This is in concert with working with quality managers at local facilities as well as engagement with larger regional receiving facilities to ensure quality patient care is being delivered.

Flexibility

Although we are primarily an emergency medicine group we recognize the unique needs or rural health care and the need of many facilities for single provider coverage. We are able to place physician assistants who are comfortable with inpatient and clinic coverage in addition to emergency department coverage.

EMS Oversight and Medical Direction Assistance

Our PAs have over 60 years combined experience with EMS integration, quality assurance, education and protocol development for local EMS agencies.

Having an ER PA serve as the initial point of contact for EMS can significantly lighten the load of the local physician, while maintaining the medical director’s final determinative authority.  This practice style provides on-line medical control for EMS crews while on scene by PAs familiar with their training and protocols, and integrates EMS into time-sensitive processes in the ER.
